Dhumal unanimously elected HP BJP chief

Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, 29 Dec, 2007 : Prem Kumar Dhumal was unanimously elected chief of Himachal Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party on Dec 29 paving the way for his swearing in as the Chief Minister of the hill state for the second time.

The victory further boosted the party's morale, coming days after it comfortably won a third term in power in Gujarat. Gujarat CM Narendra Modi on Dec 29 met former Indian PM and senior BJP leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
