Al-Qaeda denies involvement in Bhutto assassination

New Delhi, 29 Dec, 2007 : Speaking from an undisclosed location, Al-Qaeda-linked militant Baitullah Mehsud"s spokesman Maulvi Omar said on 29th Dec that Mehsud was not involved in Bhutto"s assassination.

Speaking over the phone from an undisclosed location, Omar said, “Tribal people have their own customs. We don't strike women". The Pakistan govt accused Mehsud of killing Benazir late Friday evening. Pak interior ministry also said that opposition leader Nawaz Sharif is also under threat of attack.
