Tahsildar convicted in bribe case in MP

special
court
at
Damoh
in
Madhya
Pradesh
has
sentenced
Pathariya's
Tahsildar
Ravindra
Naik
to
two
years
rigorous
imprisonment
and
a
fine
of
Rs
2,000
for
taking
bribe
of
Rs
1000
from
a
Patwari
for
allowing
him
to
take
charge
on
his
transfer.
According to official sources, Naik was caught red-handed by the Lokayukta police on July 23, 2001 while accepting bribe from Patwari Ganpat Rajak.The special court recently convicted the Tahsildar, official sources said today.
