Property worth crores gutted in Sri Gopinath Spinning Mills

Balasore, Jan 3 (UNI) Property worth several crores of rupees was gutted in a major fire in the Sri Gopintah Spinning Mills at Baliapal in Orissa this morning.

Though the exact cause of fire was not yet known, the fire brigade pesonnel suspected short circuit as one of the reasons.

The fire erupted at around 1015 hrs and three fire tenders, from Basta and Balasore, fought for more than three hours to douse the flames.

Managing Director of the mill Gangadhar Panda said as many as 20 machines, worth several crores, were gutted in the fire.
