PCS officer's daughter commits suicide

Lucknow, Jan 3 (UNI) The daughter of a Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officer committed suicide by shooting self from a licensed pistol in Chakeri area of Kanpur (dehat) today.

PCS officer Rampal Yadav's 24-yr-old daughter Moni ended her life at her house under Chakeri police station area, police said.

Moni was pursuing MCA from the Kanpur University and her father is presently posted in Mathura.

The reason behind the suicide, however, remained unknown.

The body had been sent for autopsy and investigations were underway.
