Patrolling intensified on Gujarat Border
Palanpur, Jan 3 (UNI) Patrolling on the Gujarat border with Pakistan has been intensified following the political turmoil continuing in Sindh areas, according to DIG Border Range G S Malik.
''We have beefed up security arrangements and measures had been taken to see that no infiltration takes place from the 514 km border areas, which include Bhuj, Patan and Banaskantha,'' Mr Malik said.
According to District police Chief Vipul Agrawal, the underground Kandla-Bhatinda pipeline was being supervised intensively while the security at Ambaji temple was further tightened.
In the notified areas on the border region like Vav, no outsiders were allowed to enter the region without valid permission, he added.
