Monster launches SMS bases job search

Bangalore, Jan 3 (UNI) Monster Worldwide, global online employment solution, has launched of SMS based application to make job searching easier.

Vice president (Product and Technology) Vikas Agarwal said in a press release that The SMS Job Search was a unique and effective way to search for jobs this application leverages the company's Magic Search technology that allowed jobs and resumes to be searched on various parameters through a single keyword.

He said that the key advantage was the high rate of accuracy in job matching and the new services was driven entirely by keywords and free text which was the intuitive for SMS users, unlike other applications that require categories and locations to be selected.

Mr Agarwal said that the application was simple and easy-to-use.

The user could type free text such as "Jobs Brand Manager Delhi" and SMS to 53030 in India. The user would instantly receive the top three job matches back on the mobile as an SMS, .

This is the second mobile application launched by Monster India.

Earlier in 2007 it had launched SMS Express SMS based application that helps employers contact jobseekers instantly on mobile, while searching resumes on Monsterindia.com.
