Monster launches SMS-based job search
Bangalore, Jan 3 (UNI) Monster Worldwide, global online employment site, has launched an SMS-based application to make job search easier.
Monster Vice president (Product and Technology) Vikas Agarwal said in a release the SMS Job Search was an unique and effective way to search for jobs as this application leveraged the company's Magic Search technology which allowed jobs and resumes to be searched on various parameters through a single keyword.
The key advantage was the high rate of accuracy in job matching.
The new service was driven entirely by keywords and free text which was intuitive for SMS users.
The user could type free text such as ''Jobs Brand Manager Delhi'' and SMS to 53030 in India. The user would instantly receive the top three job matches back on the mobile as an SMS, .
This is the second mobile application launched by Monster India.
Earlier, in 2007, it launched SMS Express that helped employers contact jobseekers instantly on mobile, while searching resumes on Monsterindia.com.
