Mass Surya Namaskar in MP on Jan 12

Bhopal, Jan 3 (UNI) A unique mass Surya Namaskar programme will be organised across Madhya Pradesh at 0900 hrs on January 12 on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary.

Though participation in the programme is voluntary, efforts would be made to ensure maximum participation with the cooperation of voluntary and non-government organisations, Education Minister Laxman Singh Gaud said.

Instructions will be broadcast on all primary channels of All India Radio so that people in entire state can perform Surya Namaskar simultaneously, he said.

At a review meeting here, Mr Gaud said training for the programme would be imparted at district and block level and guidebook would be provided to all educational institutions. Teleconferencing would be organised on January 7 for those colleges where training had not been imparted yet, official sources said.
