Kasturba Gandhi Awasiya Balika Vidyalayas running in dismal state

Sultanpur, Jan 3 (UNI) Schools started under the Kasturba Gandhi Awasiya Balika Vidyalaya in Uttar Pradesh were running in a dismal condition owing to the shortage of space.

The Kasturba Gandhi Awasiya Balika vidyalayas were being run from rented premises with the shortage of basic facilities, sources said.

Besides, there was a shortage of teaching staff.

District Magistrate Sanjay Kumar today told UNI, '' the Yojana was started by the State government in assistance with the Central government...orders have been passed for immediate running of the vidyalayas from the block resources centres and primary schools.'' Construction of schools buildings was still underway at various blocks in Amethi and Sultanpur constituency areas, where this yojana was implemented in the previous academic session. January 15 had been fixed as the deadline for completion of the construction work in the two areas, the DM added.

February 28 has been fixed as the date for the completion of the construction work at various blocks in Sultanpur constituency area, where the scheme had been implemented.
