Blast convict Dossa allowed to attend son's marriage ceremony
Mumbai, Jan 3 (UNI) Mumbai serial blast convict Mustafa Dossa alais Mustafa Majnu, who is at present languishing at Arthur Road jail, was today allowed by the TADA court to attend the wedding reception of his son here.
The court had also granted him permission yesterday to attend the ''Nikah'' ceremony which took place at a mosque in Agripada in South Mumbai. The ceremony was attended by underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's brother Iqbal Kaskar who was recently released from jail after facing a trial.
Designated TADA Judge P D Kode granted permission following an application moved by Dossa seeking permission to attend both the ceremonies.
While granting the permission, the court directed the Superintendent of Arthur Road jail to take the accused in heavy police protection for a stipulated period and also asked to restrain him from any communication with other absconding accused.
Dossa was deported from Dubai on March 20, 2003 for his involvement in the 1993 serial blast case which rocked the metropolis on March 12, 1993. He had allegedly played an active role in landing of the deadly arms and ammunitions in the coastal area of Raigad district.
