Birth centenary of Sudhir Kumar Mitra to be observed on Jan 5

Kolkata, Jan 3 (UNI) The birth centenary of noted historian Sudhir Kumar Mitra will be celebrated here from January five through a number of functions.

Briefing mediapersons on the programmes, West Bengal Fire Minister and working president of Sudhir Kumar Mitra Centenary Celebration Committee Pratim Chatterjee said today that the main programme would be inaugurated by former Governor and State Human Rights Commission Chairman Shyamal Sen.

Mr Chatterjee informed that Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunshi would be among other distinguished personalities to grace the function.
