Aditya Birla Cement production increases by 4.18 pc

Mumbai, Jan 3 (UNI) Aditya Birla Group has posted a 4.18 per cent increase in cement production for nine month, ended on December 31, 2007 at 22.70 million metric tonne (mmt) as against 21.78 mmt in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The dispatches of the produced cement grew by 4.13 percent at 22.6 mmt from 21.74 mmt during the same period. Cement production and dispatches for the month of Decembr 2007 stood at 2.62 mmt and 2.70 mmt, registering a growth of 4.13 and 7.66 per cent respectively, the company informed.
