UPSRTC emp protest privatisation of bus stations

Kanpur, Jan 2 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) employees today protested the privatisation of bus stations.

They assembled at the Chunniganj bus terminal and chanted anti-state government slogans.

Later, they reached the district magistrate (DM) residence and submitted a memorandum in this regard.

UPSRTC Employees Federation president Ramji Tripathi announced that a 'maharally' would be organised in Lucknow on January 10 to register their protest, besides a 'dharna' at the Vidhan Bhawan on January 17.

Reports of similar protests were also received from Basti district.
