Rupee opens flat at 39.40/42 per dollar

Mumbai, Jan 02: The Rupee opened virtually flat against the US Dollar at 39.40/42 today as compared to its previous close of 39.41/42 per dollar.The partially convertible Indian currency was having less movement due to absence of global cues in the inter-bank foreign exchange (Forex) market, dealers said.
