RFCL acquires Godrej Medical Diagnostics

New Delhi, Jan 2 (UNI) RFCL ltd, an ICICI Venture company today said kit has acquired the business division of Godrej Medical Diagnostics strengthening its position in infectious diseases portfolio with Malaria and TB Point of Care Testing Kits.

Along with its people, brands, assets, liabilities and all current principal alliance partnerships including QBC Diagnostics, US, Asia Gen Corporation, Taiwan and Uritest Medical Electronic Co Ltd, China, has been accquired by RFCL, the company said in a statement.

''We believe that this transfer would unlock significant potential for both the merging entities and will enable the combined business to grow much faster, and is thus, in the best interests of all the stakeholders,'' said MD, Godrej Industries Ltd, Nadir Godrej.

The acquired business of Godrej Medical Diagnostics closing in the current financial year at Rs 120 million and depicting a growth projection of 25 per cent for next 3-4 years will be merged and operate as an integrated portfolio within Diagnova, the diagnostics and biomedical sciences division of RFCL, the statement added.
