Pradeep Kumar oppointed secretary of defence production

New Delhi, Jan 2 (UNI) Mr Pradeep Kumar, a 1972 batch IAS officer of Haryana cadre, has taken over as Secretary (defence production) in the Ministry of Defence.

A graduate of IIT, Delhi and Masters in Economic and Social Studies from the University of Wales,he has held several senior positions in Haryana and Central governments.

Mr Kumar earlier worked as Joint Secretary in the Department of Heavy Industry, Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Coal, Chairman, National Highways Authority of India and Secretary (Disinvestment) in the Ministry of Finance,an official statement said.
