One security personnel killed, in Maoist attack

least
one
security
personnel
of
the
Jharkhand
State
Armed
Police
was
killed
and
seven
others,
including
a
civilian,
were
injured
in
an
exchange
of
fire
between
Maoist
ultras
and
the
police
in
Simdega
district
last
night.
Police said here today that Sunil Sahaya was killed in the exchange of fire at the Bansghar police outpost limit, on the Orissa-Jharkahand border under Simdega district.The injured were rushed to the Ispat General Hospital at Rourkela, police added.
The extremists attacked the outpost shortly after midnight last night. The police retaliated and the exchange of fire continued for about four hours.
