One killed, 13 structures gutted in Kashmir
Srinagar, Jan 2 (UNI) One person was killed and another injured while 13 structures, including an Army barrack, were gutted in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said.
A tipper turned turtle near Kote Payeen in Ganderbal district, resulting serious injuries to one Bashir Ahmad, a labourer and driver Bilal Ahmad, they said.
The injured were admitted to hospital where Bashir Ahmad died, sources added.
They sources added taht fire broke out in the Brigade headquarter of Army at Trehgam in the frontier district of Kupwara, damaging a double storied wooden barrack. However, no one was injured in the incident.
They said 12 houses, shops and other structures were gutted in devastating fire incidents at Balhama in Ganderbal district, Panzla Jehlum market in Baramulla district and Shopian in south Kashmir.
The cause of the fire was not known, they maintained.
