Krishna irrigation projects to be completed by year end: Patil
Mumbai, Jan 2 (UNI) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil today said that 599 TMC water of Krishna River will be impounded by the state by this year end.
Maharashtra is pursuing its case for more share in the remaining water, he said while speaking to reporters here today.
Mr Patil said, so far, the state could impound 585 TMC of water.
An amount of Rs 3300 crore would be spent for completing the Krishna River irrigation projects while Rs 13,300 crore would be spent on completing other irrigation projects in the state, he said.
He said Andhra Pradesh has also sought a share in the remaining waters of Krishna.
