Jakhar stresses on the need for spreading Sanskrit
Bhopal, Jan 2 (UNI) Stressing on the need for spreading Sanskrit language, Madhya Pradesh Governor Balram Jakhar has said he would strive for setting up a Sanskrit University in the state.
While addressing a function here yesterday, Dr Jhakhar said the state government's cooperation was necessary in this regard.
State Public Relations Minister Lakshmikant Sharma presented Dr Jakhar the Sanskrit version of his book 'Udgar' -- collection of Dr Jakhar's speeches -- during the function.
Mr Sharma said it has been decided to start teaching Sanskrit from class one onwards from the next academic session.
Culture Secretary Manoj Shrivastav claimed that the Madhya Pradesh's public relations department was first in the country to start websites providing news in Hindi, English, Urdu and Sanskrit language websites.
