Indian boy wins Olympiad for Astronomy and Astrophysics
New Delhi, Jan 2 (UNI) Akshay Subramaniam of Hyderabad, a student of Pinnacle at FIITJEE Junior College, has won the International Olympiad for Astronomy and Astrophysics held in Bangkok last month.
He was felicitated for his achievement by the Education Minister of Thailand in a ceremony.
Talking to the media today, Akshay said, ''I am immensely thankful to the faculty at the FIITJEE Junior College for raising my IQ and their unique approach to solving critical problems in Physics, Chemistry and Maths besides the in-depth study material, which have worked wonderfully for my success in the international arena.
I would look to continue with the spirit of this success to join IIT and later, I aim to do PHD and post-doctoral in Physics with a view to contributing to the future of science,'' he added.
