'Hindutva' policy catapults BJP to victory: Congress
Puducherry, Jan 2 (UNI) AICC General Secretary V Narayanasami today alleged that the BJP had won the elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh due to its 'Hindutva' policy.
Talking to newspersons here, he brushed aside reports that intra-party feud had paved way for the Congress' defeat in Gujarat.
Mr Narayanasami, who is the party in charge of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, said the Congress had taken up lot of developmental works in these states and it would fare well in the elections.
On his letter to the Chief Secretary, asking him to furnish details of government jobs and other developmental schemes allotted to the Chief Minister's Thattanchavady constituency, he said that as a Parliament member, he had the responsibility to ensure overall development of Puducherry and had every right to seek information from the Chief Secretary.
Mr Narayanasami said the Chief Secretary was asked to enquire how the letter written to him was leaked to the Press. The letter was drafted not to embarrass anyone.
