Crocodiles bask in the sun

Shivpuri, MP, Jan 2 (UNI) More than 100 big or small crocodiles could be spotted enjoying sun bath on the rocks and sand near the Sakhya Sagar lake to get respite from the biting cold at this district's Madhav National Park.

Park's Conservator Alok Kumar said dipping mercury in the area forced all these amphibians, few of them 14 ft long, to emerge out of the water and bask in the sun.

He said the lake has became the centre of attraction for the tourists due to the arrival of several migratory birds. Now tourists could watch the local as well as migratory birds.
