Bomb blast in Colombo target army bus

Colombo, Jan 2 (UNI) A powerful bomb went off in the heart of Colombo city today targeting a bus carrying army personnel, defence officials said.

The blast occurred near Nippon Hotel in Slave Island.

''We are waiting for further details,'' a senior defence official of the Media Centre for National Security (MCNS) told UNI over the phone.
