Bhojpuri actor Manoj Tiwari threatened

Mumbai, Jan 2 (UNI) Bhojpuri superstar Manoj Tiwari today filed a police complaint against 'unidentified' persons for threatening him over the telephone.

The complaint was filed with the Vakola police this morning, the actor's spokesperson said in a statement.

On December 31, the actor, who is also an accomplished singer, was injured when unidentified persons hurled stones at him during a programme. Tiwari received injuries on his face.

Tiwari said he was attacked because some people were scared of his popularity.

Congress MLA and former minister Kripashankar Singh had condemned the attack on Tiwari.
