Bajaj Allianz reaches Rs 875 cr capital base

Mumbai, Jan 02 (UNI) Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company today said its capital base has grew up to Rs 875 crore with fresh capital infusion of Rs 175 crore.

The company is planning to gear-up its insurance business across the country, having offices in over 900 towns in India with over 2.5 lakh agents, the company stated a release, today.

''Fresh capital infusion will help sustain the steady growth and strengthen customer services across the country,'' Allianz Company Country Manager&CEO Kamesh Goyal said.

Bajaj Allianz Life has already collected over Rs 11,000 crore of new business premiums in the six years of its operations and issued over 50 lakh policies. It has collected new business premium of over Rs 3,000 crore and issued over 21 lakh policies in this financial year, the release added.
