Avesthagen becomes Limited Company
Bangalore, Jan 2 (UNI) Avesthagen, a leading Life Science company became a Limited Company following approval from the Registrar of Companies.
Avesthagen Limited, began its business operations in 2001, as an innovation model, focusing on a broad spectrum play, leading to convergence of food, pharma and population genetics across the life-science space, a press release said here today.
The company was moving towards a Predictive Preventive Personalised Healthcare model through its four strategic business units -- bioPharmaceuticals, bioNutrition, bioAgriculture and Science and Innovation. The company's partners, include, multiple top-ten global companies in all fields of research.
Founder and Chief Managing Director of the company Villoo Morawala-Patell said, ''Integrity, quality services and transparency in business operations have always been a priority for Avesthagen. The name change is a key milestone in our growth, to broaden our corporate legal status and bring in stringent corporate governance''.
Dr Villoo said it also brings transparency in company's operations and the opportunity for future public participation in wealth creation. A public limited status would also help the company to rope in public and institutional investments for future expansion, she added.
