Air Marshal Nohwar takes charge as SASO
Bangalore, Jan 2 (UNI) Air Marshal K K Nohwar had taken charge as Senior Air Staff Officer (SASO) of Training Command here yesterday.
The Air Marshal was commissioned into IAF's fighter stream in 1972 and had served several fighter squadrons at various bases of IAF.
Alumnus of Defence Service Staff College, Wellington and Air War College of the US, Air Marshal Nohwar has flown several types of fighter and trainer aircraft and has 3400 hours of flying experience, a defence release said here today.
He had earlier commanded the prestigious Tactics and Air Combat Development Establishment (TACDE) and held other staff appointments at the Air Headquarters in Delhi.
The Air Marshal was awarded Vayu Sena Medal in 1998. Before taking over as SASO, he was Deputy Commander-in-Chief at Strategic Forces Command (SFC).
