A dozen cattlehead found dead in Dhanas
Chandigarh, Jan 2 (UNI) At least 12 milch animals of a milk seller here were found dead under mysterious circumstance this morning, spreading panic among milkmen in the Dhanas Milk Colony at the outskirts of the city.
Cattle rearer Bhola Ram's seven buffalos, three cows and two calves were found dead while his six other cattleheads were in a serious condition.
The government veterinary Dr Sangeeta, who was treating the sick cattle said the possibility of the animals having consumed some poisonous substance in their fodder could not be ruled out. Most of the milksellers buy the fodder from outside.
