13 wagons derailed, traffic affected in MP
Katni, MP, Jan 2 (UNI) Rail traffic on Katni-Bina section of West Central Railway was affected following derailment of 13 coal-laden wagons of a goods train at Majhgawan station near here this morning.
Though there was no loss of life, traffic on both sides of the tracks remained affected as coal in huge quantity had been spread on upline, Station Master S S Dwarika said.
Following the derailment, at least eight trains were diverted via Jabalpur. Efforts were on to clear the tracks and normal traffic was expected to be restored in about eight hours, Mr Dwarika added.
