Rowdy hacked to death

Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, Jan 1 (UNI) A 28-year-old rowdy was hacked to death by an unidentified rival gang here late last night.

Police said Raja alias Bernadsha, younger brother of notorious gangster Muttaikkan Ravi, was waylaid at West Raja Veedhi while returning home.

The gang attacked him with lethal weapons and later escaped from the scene.

A seriously injured Raja was rushed to Government Rajaji Hospital at Madurai where he succumbed to his injuries this morning.

Police suspect previous enmity between Muttaikkan Ravi and the attackers as the cause for the murder. Three special teams had been formed to nab the culprits.
