PM extends new year greetings to Karunanidhi

Chennai, Jan 1 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today extended his New Year greetings to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.

An official release here said, Mr Karunanidhi, besides thanking the Prime Minister, also enquired about UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi's health, over telephone.

Mr Karunanidhi also extended his greetings to Mr Singh on behalf of people of Tamil Nadu.

Dr Singh said Ms Gandhi was recovering fast and would be back to work within couple of days, the release added.
