Pakistan, India exchange nuclear lists

Islamabad, Jan 1: Pakistan and India today exchanged lists of their respective nuclear installations and facilities as part of the confidence building measures.

''The lists were exchanged in accordance with Article-II of the Agreement on Prohibition of Attacks Against Nuclear Installations and Facilities between Pakistan and India of December 31, 1988,'' foreign ministry spokesman Muhammad Sadiq said. Mr Saljuk Mustansar Tarar, Director (India), Ministry of Foreign Affairs handed over list of Pakistan's nuclear installations and facilities to an officer of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad at the Foreign Office.

The Indian side handed over their list to Mr Janbaz Khan, First Secretary, Pakistan High Commission at the Minsitry of External Affairs in New Delhi, he added.
