Oil companies supply LPG to meet the festival season demand

Hyderabad, Jan 1 (UNI) Oil Companies supplied 76,706 tonnes of bulk LPG in October and 76,922 tonnes in November 2007 to meet the demand during festival season.

There was 104.09 lakh LPG connection in the State and the average bulk sales till November 2007 was 70,220 tonnes , a release said here today.

Regular checks by Task Force officials were being carried out on the dealership to check malpractices and irregularities, in addition to the raids on commerical establishments for detection of diversion.

The officials seized 12,798 cylinders worth Rs 54.12 lakhs in the raids, conducted from January to December 2007, the release added.
