Hooda flags off Haryana Vikas Sandesh Rath Yatra
Chandigarh, Jan 1 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today flagged off a ''Haryana Vikas Sandesh Rath Yatra'' aimed at publicising the policies and programmes of the state government.
Appreciating the gesture of the Congress Sewa Dal to undertake this ''Rath Yatra'' to acquaint the people with various welfare programmes and schemes being implemented by the state government, he said it would help in making the people, especially those living in rural areas, aware about welfare schemes of the government so that they might avail of their benefits.
President of Bhiwani unit of Congress Sewa Dal Ashok Kadian, who is leading the ''Rath Yatra,'' said the ''Haryana Vikas Sandesh Rath'' would pass through ten districts of the state--Panchkula, Ambala, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Jind, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Bhiwani and Mahendergarh to publicise the policies and programmes of the Government .
The ''Rath Yatra'' would culminate on January 7 at Narnaul where a function would be organised in this regard. It would be presided over by MP Deepender Singh Hooda, he added.
