Five killed in accident

Mumbai, Jan 1 (UNI) Five people were killed and two others injured when their vehicle dashed into a dumper at Marine Drive here today.

Police said the accident occurred when six youths in the age grouping of 18-20, hailing from Prathana Samaj area in Goregaon, were returning home in a car after the new year celebrations.

The driver lost control over the vehicle and hit a stationary dumper killing five people, including the driver.

The injured have been admitted to a hospital. Police have registered a case of rash and drunken driving.
