CBI search at WCL office

Nagpur, Jan 1 (UNI) The Sleuths of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) are carrying out a search operation at the headquarters of the Public Sector Coal Undertaking, Western Coalfields (WCL) here to investigate an alleged tender fraud.

The search was a 'joint surprise check' along with the vigilance department of WCL, CBI Superintendent of Police (SP) V M Mohan told UNI. The check began late last night and was likely to continue into till late hours today, he said.

''No documents have been seized so far, but it would be done if tound necessary. The check is being carried out after the CBI office here received a complaint that WCL officials have floated a tender for work that has been already been completed,'' he added.
