Agitators ransack DC office

Hubli, Karnataka, Jan 1 (UNI) Agitators demanding reopening of a sugar factory today stormed into the Deputy Commissioner's (DC) office at Haveri and ransacked it.

Police said about hundred labourers who assembled in front of the DC Office, pelted stones and ransacked it this morning. Cases have been registered against 35 people.

However, some labourers who had been staging dharna in front of the office for the past two months alleged some miscreants were behind the incident.
