2 of Delhi-based company booked for cheating

Nagpur, Jan 1 (UNI) The city police have booked the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of a New Delhi-based company on charges of cheating a local businessman.

According to police, Ajitkumar Das, Chairman of Gusto Foods Limited of New Delhi and Ajay Kumar, the company's Deputy Chairman, had agreed to supply food products to Ramesh Maroti Hirwalkar, a businessman from the city.

Hirwalkar has complained that he had paid Rs 5.51 lakh to the company from September till now, but has not received any supply, a police press release here said.

On the basis of Hirwalkar's complaint, police have registered an offence against Das and Kumar under sections 420 (cheating) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention), and are investigating further, the press release added. UNI AB SR VD RN1941
