Woman arrested for knocking down twelve people

Mumbai, Dec 31 (UNI) A woman was arrested for killing one person as she knocked down 11 others at a busy junction in Dadar in Central Mumbai here today.

According to police, the woman was driving a Hyundai Getz car at a very high speed, when she lost lost control of the vehicle and rammed it into the pedestrians at around 1430 hrs.

KEM hospital Dean Y V Yoelekar told UNI ''One unknown person was brought dead and eleven are being treated at the surgical department.'' Two of the admitted are declared to be serious, having sustained injuries in the limbs and waist, he said.

The other victims are being treated for multiple fractures and other injuries.

UNI
