The partially convertible Indian currency was trading firm in an fairly active interbank foreign exchange (Forex) market. However, its further appreciation was prevented by the suspected intervention of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), dealers said. Dealers opined, though their is a strong sentiment in the Indian equity market but due the apex bank's suspected intervention would support rupee against much appreciation against the American greenback.
