One killed, HM militant arrested in Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 31 (UNI) One person was killed and a Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant was arrested in the Kashmir valley overnight, a police spokesman said.

He said the dead body of 55-year-old Abdul Rashid Malik was recovered from his house at Bonapora Langate, Handwara, in the frontier district of Kupwara.

Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and 49 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) arrested a HM militant Iqbal Dar last night from village Panzath in south Kashmir.

Two hand grenades and 14 rounds of ammunition will recovered from him.
