Modi expresses concern over looting of Kenya Gujaratis

Ahmedabad, Dec 31 (UNI) Chief Minister Narendra Modi has expressed concern over the incidents of loot and robbing of Gujaratis in Kenya.

Mr Modi in a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, said, in the last four days attacks on properties of Gujaratis residing in Kenya had increased and more than 400 Gujaratis had sought refuge in a Swaimnarayan Temple in Kisumu in Western Kenya.

The Chief Minister requested Dr Singh to take up the matter with the Kenyan government to ensure safety of the Gujaratis there.
