Less Bus fair for Haryana govt employees

Chandigarh, Dec 31 (UNI) Haryana Transport Minister Mange Ram Gupta today announced to reduce the Haryana Roadways bus fare of Haryana employees who were travelling from Chandigarh to Panchkula and back from Rs 7 to Rs 5 with immediate effect.

Mr Gupta said that the employees going from Chandigarh to Panchkula and Panchkula to Chandigarh had to pay a sum of Rs 7 in the Haryana Roadways Employees bus while the Haryana Roadways buses operating in Chandigarh for the employees were charging a sum of Rs 5 per employee.

He said a deputation of employees of Haryana Civil Secretariat and other Departments, Boards and Corporations had met and requested him to reduce the bus fare from Rs 7 to Rs 5 at par with the employees of Haryana Government travelling to their offices and back to their homes in Chandigarh. He said keeping in view the demand of the employees the bus fare had been reduced.

Mr Mange Ram Gupta greeted the people of the state and especially the employees of the Haryana Roadways and Education Departments on the eve of the New Year and hoped that they would work with more zeal and dedication in the coming New Year 2008 for the rapid development of the state and the department.
