Indian women commit suicide in UAE

Dubai, Dec 31 (UNI) An unidentified Indian woman, believed to be in her 40s, committed suicide in Kuwait by hanging herself in her sponsor's house in Al-Qurain.

Her body has been sent for post mortem and police are investigating the cause of suicide, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident, another unidentified Indian woman hanged herself in a factory at the Shuwaikh Port.

Familial and financial pressures drive many Indian expats to suicide in the Gulf while the maids end their lives also because of sexual and physical abuse.
