IAY provides assistance to 372 beneficiaries

Srinagar, Dec 31: Jammu and Kashmir government has provided Rs 37.70 lakh to 372 beneficiaries under India Awas Yojana (IAY) for construction of houses in the central Kashmir district of Badgam.

An official spokesman said cheques worth Rs 32.29 lakh were distributed among the 324 beneficiaries under IAY for construction of houses belonging to Chadora and Nogam blocks at Charar-e-Sharief.

Similarly cheques of Rs 5.41 lakh under IAY were distributed among the 48 beneficiaries of block Budgam at a function organised by Rural Development Department, Budgam.
