HP Government cancels extensions to all officers

Shimla, Dec 31 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Government today announced the cancellation of extensions to all officers whose tenures had been extended by the previous Virbhadra Singh Government, official sources said.

A notification cancelling the extensions was issued today and circulated to all the state government departments, the sources, requesting anonymity, told UNI here.

The sources said prominent among those who were given extension during the Congress regime included Health Director M L Mahajan, HP Dental College Director N.C Rao and PWD Engineer-in- Chief S.P. Negi.

The order would, however, not be implemented on national awardee teachers whose services had been extended by virtue of the award, the sources added.
