Goods train derails between Vikhroli-Bhandup

Mumbai, Dec 31 (UNI) Central Railway cancelled 20 services after three bogies of a goods train derailed between Vikhroli and Bhandup stations early today.

Traffic on both up fast and down fast lines was diverted to the Kurla-Mulund slow line following the derailment at 0450 hrs, a CR spokesperson said.

While traffic on the up fast line was restored at 0845 hrs, the down fast line was made functional at 1030 hrs, the spokesperson added.

However, all the suburban services on the Central Railway are running late by half an hour, the official said.
