Ceasefire with DHD extended upto June 30, 2008

New Delhi, Dec 31 (UNI) The Centre has extended the Suspension of Operations (SOO) agreement with Dima Halam Daogah (DHD) militant outfit operating in Assam, for a further period of six months till June 30, 2008.

According to official sources, the extension follows a tripartite meeting among the representatives of the Centre, Asom government and DHD on Thursday.

The SOO agreement between DHD and the security forces has been in operation since January 1, 2003.
